Friesen International Prize in Health Research Program honours Dr. David Naylor, who will give the Friesen Lecture on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 entitled:  \u201cEmergence of Health Research as a Data Science\u201d.  This is a Public Forum Lecture and requires registration via the FCIHR web site <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/PXG6XVT\" target=\"_blank\">(click here)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In addition to the Friesen Lecture, an invitational Roundtable on November 6th, 2018 in Ottawa has been organized to address:  \u201cStrategies for Advancing Health Research Funding\u201d.  The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Bruce McManus (VP, FCIHR; CEO, Proof Centre; Prof. Medicine, UBC), who will speak on:  \u201cNurtured Science &#8211; One Pillar of a Healthy Society\u201d.  Speakers from various organizations will comment on the theme.<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fcihr.ca\/prize\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/List-of-Speakers-2018-Roundtable-at-U-Ottawa-on-November-6-2018-2018-Friesen-Prize-Program-Ottawa_As-of-October-19th-20182.docx\" target=\"_blank\"><font color='#000000'><strong>Link to List of Speakers &#8211; 2018 Roundtable at U Ottawa &#8211; November 6, 2018<\/strong><\/font><\/a><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In collaboration with the Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC2018), the FCIHR Forum has been organized for November 7th, 2018 in Ottawa featuring Dr. David Naylor, 2018 Friesen Prizewinner.  The title of the FCIHR Forum at CSPC2018 is:  \u201cHow can better federal-provincial collaboration strengthen Canada\u2019s Research ecosystem?\u201d.
