It is with great sadness that we report that Dr. Peter Dolphin died suddenly on June 22nd in Halifax.

Peter was a seminal investigator in the area of lipoprotein metabolism and a strong supporter of the information exchange promoted by the Canadian Lipoprotein Conference.  In addition, he was instrumental in promoting science, and especially biochemistry, at the community level and internationally.

Many will be deeply affected by his passing.
