Proceedings of FCIHR Sponsored Symposium/Public Forum 2003
at the Canadian Museum of Nature, Ottawa, Ontario, May 14, 2003
Biotechnology research offers great promise to improve health, to protect the environment, to enhance our economy and thereby improve our quality of life. It is important to explain how Genomic Science translates to social well-being and human health. This Symposium/Public Forum 2003 took place in May, 2003 at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa to encourage public discourse and to explain to a broad community the wonders of genomic research. The proceedings of the conference are reprinted here for your interest. Leading Canadian scientists and senior managers have addressed important and interesting topics related to the way Genomic Science translates to the social good.
