The Friends of CIHR have put together their third scientific calendar entitled "Calendar 2003 of Friends of CIHR which Honours the Past and Celebrates the Future". (See Calendar 2003 on menu at left to view the piece.) The Calendar commemorates the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the DNA structure, highlights the contemporary work of New Investigators of the CIHR and the world-class achievements of senior scientists, namely the Gairdner awardees for 2002. The calendar features superb scientific images that are annotated and suitable for framing. As in previous years, this Calendar serves an educational role to help understand the wonders of medical research and the health sciences. A limited number of copies are available free on a first-come, first-served basis.
