We are pleased to report that Dr. Charles Hollenberg will receive the Friends of CIHR Distinguished Service Award, which is our highest honour, recognizing one of our own members for advancing the goals and mission of FCIHR. Dr. Charles Hollenberg is a founding member and currently an active Board Member of the Friends of CIHR and its predecessor organization Alumni and Friends of MRC. Dr. Hollenberg has had an illustrious career as a leader in Canadian academic medicine and has served as President and CEO of Ontario Cancer Care and Vice-Provost of Health Sciences at the University of Toronto. He will receive this award May 14, 2003 at "The Ottawa Evening," a fundraising gala dinner in collaboration with Partners in Research.
